ATTA Breastmilk Community is building Africa’s first breastmilk donation community — connecting mothers, health workers, and funders to deliver safe, life-saving milk to babies who need it most
Every year thousands of Ugandan babies die simply because they cannot get human milk. ATTA Breastmilk community ends that tragedy by pairing safe donor milk with wrap-around care for mothers—proving that, even in low-resource settings, connection and evidence-based practice save lives.
We are a growing collective of mothers, clinicians, and advocates working to end preventable newborn deaths. We’re not a charity for mothers; we are a movement with mothers, changing what’s possible for newborns—and for the people who love them.
Four simple, community-powered steps—advocacy, safe milk donation, maternal mental health, and scalable milk-bank innovation—work together to get life-saving breastmilk to the tiniest newborns who need it most.
ATTA Breastmilk Community collects and screens breastmilk from mothers who are willing to donate. We then distribute the milk to parents in need, ensuring that every infant has access to safely donated breastmilk.
A community of parents dedicated to making donated breastmilk equitably accessible to all newborn babies who need it to survive.
